In 1914, Dr. Shinichi Suzuki developed a revolutionary way to teach children music. Dr. Suzuki observed how all children learn to speak their mother tongue language fluently through repetition, encouragement, and love by their parents. He realized parents are natural teachers and began to teach very young children music in the same way, with the parent, teacher and child working closely together with amazing results.

Dr. Suzuki thought the role of the parent was so critical in education that he was known to have said music education should begin 9 months before the birth of the mother!

All Suzuki music education classes focus on seven essential educational points…

  1. Every child can learn.
  2. Ability develops early.
  3. Environment nurtures growth.
  4. Children learn from one another.
  5. Success breeds success.
  6. Parental involvement is critical.
  7. Encouragement is essential.
Many scientific studies have proven that the most crucial time of brain development is before birth and in the first three years of life. Babies are actually learning before they’re even born!

The child and parent explore the joys and benefits of music together through song, rhyme, dance, and high quality Orff instruments.

The curriculum is presented in a nurturing and non-pressured environment and is carefully selected to develop the following skills: reading, math, language, musicianship, social, emotional, and co-ordination.

Parents are educated on Suzuki method music education and the latest scientific studies on child development.
